We are hiring a Manager of Commercial HVAC & Building Systems to lead and build our commercial service division.
This is not a standard technician role. You will be responsible for:
- Developing and managing HVAC maintenance contracts for multi-residential and commercial buildings.
- Leading site assessments, system evaluations, and quoting.
- Building and managing a team of technicians.
- Establishing preventive maintenance programs and service protocols.
- Acting as the primary technical contact for property managers and building owners.
You will play a key role in shaping the direction and growth of this division.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical & Operations:
- Assess and quote building-wide HVAC systems (RTUs, boilers, hydronics, pumps, chillers).
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues across mechanical and controls layers.
- Interpret sequences of operation and coordinate with BAS/controls systems.
BAS / Controls Awareness:
- Work with systems such as Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, etc.
- Use BAS for diagnostics, optimization, and system visibility.
- Coordinate with controls contractors where required.
Leadership & Team Building:
- Hire, train, and manage HVAC technicians.
- Establish SOPs, maintenance checklists, and reporting systems.
- Build a scalable service structure.
Client & Contract Management:
- Interface with property managers, condo boards, and building operators.
- Present findings, recommendations, and service plans.
- Manage ongoing service contracts and ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- 7–15+ years experience in commercial HVAC.
- Strong knowledge of:
- RTUs, boilers, hydronic systems, pumps.
- Chillers (operational/service understanding).
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS).
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience quoting jobs or managing service contracts is a major asset.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Compensation:
- $85,000 – $120,000 base salary (depending on experience).
